Biofertilizer reduces the dependency on chemical fertilizer on wheat production

Scarce availability of chemical fertilizers threatens sustainability wheat production in Nepal. Combined application and biofertilizer can reduce fertilizer enhance the yield under limited availability. A field experiment was carried out to assess combined on growth spring at Rampur, Chitwan from November 2020 April 2021. The laid strip plot design with four nitrogen P2O5 levels (0, 50, 75 100% recommended dose) vertical plots three methods (not applied, seed applied soil applied) horizontal replications. research results revealed significant interaction between P2O­5 methods. highest grain (4624.48 kg ha-1) obtained N P­­­2O5 par 75% (4457.54 ha-1). total uptake higher as compared no although statistically not significant. increment over same level were 10.96% 29.60% respectively. gross return, net return B:C ratio biofertilizers. result indicates that 25% dose could be reduced by without compromising wheat.
